Managed to install #! after two attempts and maybe 6 hours. I mean like dual boot install not virtual box!

Lets see how long this lasts.

Points to note : I did not face any connection issues at home and at college. Which is a big deal considering how often I struggle with Ubuntu and Mint in this regard.

Next up, texlive and matlab/octave/python. Need to include a bunch of add-ons for iceweasel as well (adblock/extensions).
